Meal-planning has been mind-numbingly boring the last two weeks, and I couldn't figure out why. Until--I picked up an old issue of Family Circle at the doctor's office, and my mouth started salivating at photos of fresh salads with berries and light, cool recipes. I realized that the weather's just been too warm for me to be much interested in traditional body-warming winter fare. I thought I'd share a few of my favorites from that July 2012 Family Circle issue (and a few other places). Maybe you're needing a break from warm-weather recipes, too!

Warm, eh? Oh yes - you live in the warm part of our country. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's so cold here -- we've been used to eating soup most days. But I recently got some fresh veggies and have been munching on kale chips all day. :) Highly recommend.
these look great! i'm pretty much over warm winter food too! new follower :)
ReplyDeleteHi Jen :) I'm still hoping for at least one more good cold snap, so I can bust out the chili again, but I sure have been enjoying these recipes in the meantime :)
DeleteThe chicken masala looks delish! I tried my hand at an Indian curry recipe a few weeks ago. It was good, but I'm still on the lookout for something more authentic.
ReplyDeleteLet me know if you find any good ones! I'm not a huge Indian food person (I think it's the textures that I'm just not accustomed to yet), but I do like to make it at home because it's generally healthy, fairly simple, and usually pretty inexpensive!
